Capitol incursion

The fury first got started when potential (and the traditional) Trump 2024 GOP opponents saw an opportunity and cast Election Integrity lawsuits and investigations as an “attack on democracy” to score political points.  Trump was obviously not the only one that questioned the 2020 elections.

In a similar vein and not that unusual in the political game, the current VP elect called her own President elect a racist in the 2020 primaries over his use of “racial jungle” to oppose integrated schools, and “super predators” to describe young Black men to advance a crime bill.  It has been reported that HRC used the same language. So it is not unheard of for party infighting.

Then later, the same Trump GOP opponents saw another opportunity when they were the very first to cast Trumps’ Capitol rally  words as “inciting a riot”. Democrats and the Media (sometimes referred to as Fake News by Trump) then saw that opportunity and jumped on it. As of today, another impeachment trial is looming.

The angst continues today as more and more people and organizations are deleted and cancelled from tech payment and message platforms.

So, the latest debate questions what exactly is inciting violence and what is protected speech.

The debate over so-called “private” companies being able to set their own rules and regulations regarding speech, behavior, and membership continues.  Even Obama insisted, “you didn’t build that”.  The idea is that there is no completely private organization if it participates in the public sphere and marketplace and the laws and regulations.

The Arctic
