Much of the world is only habitable because of energy for heating and cooling. Most of it, almost all of it, only livable because of energy just for heating and cooling. Not to mention products and transportation.
The end of fossil fuels and/or nuclear, even an attempt at net/net carbon neutrality, is an existential threat for most of the world. Tens of millions of alt-E “transition” climate refugees will be created.
