Venture Capital is Part of the Problem

Money sitting in US bonds is terribly unproductive, but venture capitalists that can’t break the “dot bomb” addiction continue to make net/net unproductive investments.

A few college kids (with no expenses since parents and their college provide the overhead) in the US, a small off-shore outsourced team and a bank of servers, gives us LinkedIn, GroupOn, OpenTable, FaceBook etc, while solar companies go bankrupt.

Not only are these virtualization plays unproductive, they disintermediate also.  Amazon not paying sales tax for example.
